My little gardeners helped with our strawberry patch today. We have about 25 plants and five different varieties. Hopefully we can enjoy them this summer if we can keep the birds away....

Belen's Phrase of the Day

Belen's response to her mother's multiple requests, " I don't have four hands, and I can't stretch!"
"Mom, when I have kids I'm gonna live here." (in response to Mom's quizzical look). "Seriously! I'm going to live here so we can ALL take care of the babies!!!!" .....Sigh
"WAIT!! I'm helping Gabe with his homework!"
"I am *through* with the candy Mommy! Really, seriously. No more candy."
"Don't--Call--My dad--a dumb ass!" (for the record, I did not call her dad a dumb ass.)
"I'm growing into a teenager!"
"I am pretty, the boys are not pretty!" (oh, my!)
"This is the picture for my grandparents, because I'm beautiful." (in her tutu)
"Don't worry, it will come out as a sweet little bug!" (after Mommy's exclaimation of a worm going down the drain. Those things are expensive!")
"I'm gonna kick your ass!" (I'm not kidding, sadly)
"You're Just a teenager! You're not the boss of me! (poor Kieran)
Can we stop with the serious?
"My heart doesn't want pasta." (after a conversation about finishing dinner)
"Nobody tells me no!"
"Yes, I see. I have Eyes!"
"It not-a work-a." (After a Spanish lesson from her Papa)
"I know that. I'm three years old!"
"Aye, Aye, Aye!"
"........(unintelligible), if I wear that, people will think I'm fat!"
"Mommy, sometimes I'm happy at you and sometimes I'm mad at you."
"I was blessed by a Buddhist monkey"

"I'm going to my grandparents!!!!" (Summer 2008 during a dispute with Mommy)

"Stop Louding Me!" (referring to her occasionally vocal parents)
